External Examiner
An external examiner plays an important role in all undergraduate and post graduate degree level courses.
The key elements of the role are to ensure academic standards internally, confirm assessment processes, measure student achievement against intended learning outcomes, affirm standards are appropriate by reference to published national subject benchmarks and the National Qualifications Framework and that awards are comparable in standard to awards conferred by other UK HE institutions.
